Here's Our Story
At Dale Price Flooring Solutions Ltd, we don’t just lay floors — we lay the foundation for beautiful spaces, lasting relationships, and expert craftsmanship.
Our story began with just a man, a van, and a vision. In January 2020, Dale Price officially launched the business, starting from a small storage unit with one fitter and a lot of determination. Fitting and selling flooring directly from the van, we quickly built a reputation for quality and reliability — winning bigger projects and growing rapidly.
After a health setback in 2022, Dale made the pivotal decision to transition from being on the tools full-time to opening a full showroom and warehouse at Dale Court in South Kirkby. This move wasn’t just about adapting to change — it was about scaling up and building a long-term future for the company. The new site now includes a stylish customer showroom, a fully stocked trade counter for local fitters, and a growing team of passionate professionals with over 100 years of combined experience.
Since opening our new base in 2023, we’ve gone from strength to strength. Our work spans across manor houses, boutique hotels, custom flooring design projects, and even high-profile clients — including famous bands whose stage props wrapped in carpet has travelled the world on tour. In 2024, we were proud to be recognised as Flooring Retailer of the Year — a testament to the dedication of our entire team.
We now have four skilled fitting teams, a brilliant warehouse and estimating manager in Paul, and our newest team member Mandy, who brings a fresh and friendly face to sales and customer service. Dale still plays an active role, supporting the team and driving the business forward.
One of our proudest achievements to date was managing and installing a flooring project worth close to £1 million in 2024 — proving our capability to handle projects of any scale with precision and professionalism.
Dale Price – The Flooring Expert & Founder

EXPERIENCE: 28 years in the flooring trade, over 20 years as a fitter.
As the founder of our company, Dale has built his career on top-quality flooring and exceptional customer service. With decades of experience and a passion for the trade, he now fits part-time, ensuring each project benefits from his knowledge and keen eye for detail.
Known for his bubbly personality and love of a good chat, Dale makes every flooring project an enjoyable experience. Whether it's a bespoke LVT design or a precise cap & cove installation, his expertise speaks for itself.
Outside of work, Dale enjoys football and fishing—especially sea fishing. Whether he's tackling waves or tackling a flooring challenge, he's always up for the next adventure.

Outside of work, Mick has a surprising passion—he trains in wrestling! Whether he’s perfecting flooring or perfecting his technique in the ring, he’s all about dedication and precision.

EXPERIENCE: 19 years in the trade, mastering commercial flooring since leaving school.
Quiet and focused, Scott is a true specialist when it comes to commercial flooring. His skills in cap & cove vinyl and wetrooms make him the perfect choice for high-spec installations that require precision and durability. With nearly two decades of experience, he knows how to get the job done efficiently and to the highest standard.
Recently, Scott has been expanding his expertise into domestic LVT installations, bringing his commercial-level precision into home flooring projects.

Our professional installation services are primarily available within a 20-mile radius of our South Kirkby location to ensure top quality service and customer satisfaction. However, if you’re located outside this area, we can still supply flooring materials nationwide through our online store. If you need help finding a trusted installer, we may also be able to recommend local professionals in your area.

In addition, our professional installation services come with a 12-month installation warranty, giving you extra peace of mind about your investment. Can I install new flooring over my existing floor?
In some cases, yes! Many modern flooring options, such as SPC vinyl and laminate, can be installed directly over existing floors if the surface is clean, level and in good condition. However, certain types of flooring, like carpet or damaged wood may need to be removed first to ensure a proper installation.
